Games Maker

Working as part of the Security team at the London Olympics, it was my role to greet, guide and aid spectators through the necessary security checks in order to gain access to the Olympic park. Due to the number of volunteers, every shift I was working with new people. I also worked with different teams, these included other Games Makers, G4S and the Military. Over the course of the Olympics I gained further confidence in customer relations due to the number of spectators I meet and dealt with daily; sometimes dealing with spectators who didn’t want to comply with the security restrictions or occasionally having to relax the security regulations to comply with someone’s needs/disabilities.
